Belize Entry Visa
Citizens from most Commonwealth countries, Mexico, the U.S.A., CARICOM, Costa Rica, Austria or nationals of a member state of the European Union do not require a visa to enter Belize. All other countries require a visa to visit Belize and any Belizean Consulate or Embassy can issue one at the cost of $25.00 U.S. currency. This visa is valid for thirty days. If there is no Belizean Consulate in your country a visa can be obtained through the nearest British Embassy or British High Commission.

Citizens of Bangladesh, Bolivia, Colombia, China, Angola, Brazil, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Cuba, India, Libya, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa and nationals of the former USSR require previous approval for a visa from the Department of Immigration in Belize.

Permanent Residence

Any individual can apply for permanent residence after legally residing in Belize for one year. There is an allowance of 15 days for travel purposes. The application may be obtained from any other the Immigration offices countrywide.
After the year and the application is submitted, the vetting of the applicant proceeds, where police, HIV/AIDS and medical records are requested. Final approval is granted by the Ministry of Finance office. The fee for residency ranges from US$187.50 to US$1,562.50 depending on the nationality of the applicant.
It may take up to three months depending on the nature of the application.
