The minimum wage/salary in Belize is US $1.55 ($3.10BZ) per hour. The average beginning salary for BPO agent is approximately range from US $2.50 per hour and up with benefits. In general a supervisor salary is around 35% to 50% more than an agent salary.

Availability of labor Force

Belize has availability of talented and skilled human resource. About 83 thousands persons have completed formal education from secondary level to other.

Beltraide, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education designed a pilot certification program geared at enriching the workforce with the skills and abilities to serve as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) specialist. This intensive training program created viable opportunities for employment. The modules were developed for international standards including telesales, customer service, professionalism and communication. The BPO pilot certification program was launched in Belize City, Belmopan, and San Ignacio. One hundred and seventy (170) persons graduated for the pilot program.
